- Never leave a burning candle unattended
- Never burn a candle on or near anything that can catch fire
- Trim wicks to ¼ inch each time before lighting
- Keep burning candles out of the reach of children and pets
- Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches and debris at all times
- Don't burn a candle all the way down. This could cause glass breakage and could result in fire. Discontinue use when wax reaches a ½ inch from the bottom
- Keep burning candles away from ceiling fans, drafts and air currents
- If flame flickers repeatedly or if the flame becomes too high, extinguish the candle. This means that the candle is burning improperly. Trim the wick before relighting.
- Never extinguish candles with water
- Never use a candle warmer and then light the candle at the same time. This could result in fire and can be extremely dangerous
